REVENGE CAN SOMETIMES BE SWEET ROHRERS SWEEPS BEDWAYS10-0

REVENGE CAN SOMETIMES BE SWEET:
ROHRERS SWEEPS BEDWAYS
10-0

After two loses to the Bedway club this season, the Rohrers base ball club came back with a bang. They demonstrated exemplary pitching, batting and fielding to shutout the once proud Bedways club.

Well , cranks, take nothing for granted with these astonishing Rohrers of 2012. It was a delightful game for six innings watching Rohrers put the big hitters of Bedways in the wash. The pitching of Drew Grace and Brent Kaunas, who both pitched a tight and clever ball game, was never better.

Immediately in the first inning, Rohrers went at the Bedways with everything they could muster.  Manager Grace made a turn on the big guns this game with starting Drew Grace as pitcher. I have heard Manager Grace say in many games, “Let`s jump on them right away! “ Well, our boys took advantage of that old command and came out swinging in the first. Up first ,catcher M.J. Oswald got struck out. Then Brent Kaunas started everything off with a single. Drew Grace walked. Big Jake Biever drove out a single to score two runs while Nate Dixon whacked out another single. Then Dylan Biever banged a double scoring Nate and Jake.  Chase Weiser banged out a hit for a double bringing  Dylan home for a score making it 5-0 Rohrers, T.J. popped out for the close of the inning. You know, cranks ,for a moment there I think I actually saw a smile on the face of Manager Grace as the club came into the dugout.

On the mound for Rohrers was starting pitcher Drew Grace who gave up a single. Next batter smacked one to Dylan Biever who tagged the runner at second. Then Drew fanned the last two batters.

Knowing that Rohrers was hitting their pitcher right and left the, manager  of Bedways changed pitchers putting the tall, lanky right hander Cheyenne Wesley on the mound. Up first was M.J. who went down swinging. Next, Brent went down on a hard strike. Drew connected on a fastball for a double. Jake got walked on a full count. Nate went down swinging on another fast ball. Seems like the change of pitchers had our boys confused,at first, with his style.

Top of the third and there is no stopping Rohrers. Drew fans the next three batters in a row. Drew was consistent all the way to the 5th inning, giving up no runs, when Manager Grace pulled him for a pitch count and put in Brent Kaunas. Brent kept the Boyers on the zero end of the scale allowing no runs to be scored by his hard throwing strikes. Our fielding was excellent through all the innings. Our catcher M.J. was on the ball exclusively allowing no errors to score runs. Jake had a few put outs. Dylan Biever was excellent at second.  Nate Dixon had a good catch and throw to first for an out. Once again all the boys played excellent base ball for this great win and confidence builder beating the Bedways. 10-0.
Now that`s the way to do it!
